A public meeting was held in the village hall on 6th February 2026 to enable residents to receive an update on the sports facilities at Walnut Meadows and for them to select which of the 3 options for the Pavilion building they preferred. A drop-in session was held in the Cauldwell Centre on 7th February 2026 for those that were unable to attend the 6th February meeting.
The overwhelming majority who attended over the 2 days preferred the full sized Pavilion (Option A). The plans for the different options are shown below. Option C was not to build a Pavilion.

Attendees at the village meeting requested a breakdown of the proposed Council Tax increase across all Bands A – H. The estimated increase is shown below:
